Day 3:

Today we were taking a drive to San Reno. I had two passengers with me today, Noel Shorter and Pam Brien. Pam's ride had left the resort without her. The 35 mile trip took us to our first stop at Kongwak.

We were provided with refreshments by the Bass Coast Historical Auto Club, and provided with the opportunity to look at an amazign automobilia collection within the area. After the morning tea we headed off to our next stop.

I had lost one of my passangers at Kongwak as Pam had decided to return to riding with her original chauffeur. (Maybe she didn't like my driving) We all continued on to Cape Patterson where we walked down to view the Eagle's nest look out, which was an incredible sight.

Before long we continued onto Wonthaggi, our final destination for today before heading back. The lunch was provided again by the Bass Coast Historical Auto Club and for those that wanted to step back in time had the opportunity to experience a tour of the Wonthaggi State Coal Mine.

The tour went for 90 minutes and provided an interesting insight to the methods of coal mining and the condtions that these coal miners would have experienced. After the tour we all had a nice leisurely drive back to the resort where we had a few hours of relaxation before all heading to the local RSL for dinner. It was another great day!
