NSW PACA RUN: VINTAGE MOTOR GARAGE, Central Mangrove, Saturday 6th March
SATURDAY? Yes Saturday 6th March is the date for a Packard run to the Vintage Motor Garage workshop in the NSW Central Coast hinterland at 1618 Wisemans Ferry Road, Central Mangrove. Meet at McDonald’s Thornleigh at 9:00am for a 9:30am departure via the scenic Old Pacific Highway. Highlight of the workshop tour and talk will be seeing the ’26 333 6 cyl Sedan Limousine of Tasmanian member’s Phil and Marjorie Weeks. The ‘26 among other things is undergoing major body construction having been “uted” many years ago.
All you Packard “experts” will be able to see, smell, poke, prod then report back to Phil and Marjorie on the progress being made, no doubt adding your thoughts, criticisms, comments on the job being done! VMG provides BBQ facilities, so an added “attraction” will be a BBQ lunch consisting of your choice of rissoles or gourmet gluten free sausages with onions, sauce and salad to suit, served on a bun. A small charge will apply to cover costs only. Hot water will be provided by VMG, so bring your own tea/coffee/milk or other beverages because the VMG workshop is remote from shopping facilities. Mark this date on your calendar or in your diary to enjoy a pleasant drive to the Central Coast, a workshop tour with a Packard focus, a BBQ lunch and convivial company.
