Friday 20th, today I had the opportunity to ride with Bob Davies and his family in their 1926 Packard. The day consisted of a long distance drive through the scenic area of Lockyer Valley, which included going down a steep hill. Our first stop of thew day was at Withcolt for morning tea. We then continued onto Preamp hotel, which was another long drive from Withcolt. After lunch I got a ride back to the hotel with Peter Lewer. The drive back to the motels consisted of travelling up a very steep hill. This hill put many if not all the Packards to their tests. When everyone eventually got back, we spent the afternoon around the motels spending the afternoon relaxing and talking about Packards. That evening a few of us, went to the local Chinese restauraunt again, where we had dinner a previous night. After the meal, we returned to our rooms to get a good night rest before the last full day of activities.

Sunday 21st: Unfortunately today was the day that we all began or drive back home again. We had full intentions to attend the farewell breakfast at the clubhouses, but instead we left early for the long trip home. For the trip home I was riding with Peter Lewer. That night we stayed over at Tamworth and went to the local RSL for dinner.

Monday 22nd: Today we would all reach our final destination, home. We left Tamworthth at around 9am, for the final leg of the trip I was riding with Noel Shorter. We reached Sydney at 5:00 where we encountered rain. This was the first time we had encountered rain on the whole rally. We made it home safely.  This was my first experience of a national Packard rally, I had a fantastic time, and I am looking forward to the next rally.
