Today was the 2016 Bay To Birdwood. With an early start all the vehicles left the motel by 6:30. Most drivers were warned not to follow Fred in his 54 Clipper but thankfully and to most peoples surprise everyone arrived at the starting point at Glenelg.
On the drive to Glenelg the clouds opened and the rain began to fall. Thankfully this only lasted a short time. By the time we reached Birdwood the clouds had parted revealing a nice day.
The cars started leaving Glenelg around 8:30. This provided time for entrants and visitors to view the cars on the field. There was a wide variety of cars, Supposably there were over 100 marques of manufactures on display.
The run to Birdwood went well, with the Packard Club following the veteran & concours vehicles out of Glenelg. The route took just over an hour to complete.
The days event was very enjoyable with the privilege of getting to view the vehicles on display at the Birdwood museum.
With the 1000+ car that travelled to Birdwood and the vehicles in the museum there were vehicles to cater to the tastes of almost everyone there.
